Across Contra Costa, young people are searching for ways to shape the future of their community — and ULV stands ready to help them step into leadership. At a time when immigrant families face fear, misinformation, and harmful federal policies, civic engagement is not just participation. It is protection. It is power.
In partnership with Monument Impact, EBASE and our allies to help mobilize volunteers to:
Impact by the Numbers (2024–25)
These numbers tell a simple story: ULV is helping our community step into its power.
We engage first‑generation students at Diablo Valley College as interns across our health, higher education, and immigrant protection campaigns. These young leaders serve as promotores, connecting families to healthcare. They use their lived experience to inspire high school students who may not see themselves as “college material.” They build their leadership with hands-on Know Your Rights advocacy and outreach with the Concord Immigrant Protections Network. Through the social media content they create, they reach thousands of community members with critical information to keep our community connected and informed.
